COMPOSITION :
Each uncoated bolus contains:
Oxfendazole BP (Vet) .............................250 mg
Cobalt Sulphate ..........................................5 mg
Selenium Dioxide ..................................125 mcg
Excipients.......................................................q.s.
Colour ....................................... Approved Colour
INDICATIONS :
Oxfendazole is used to treat nematode disease and taenlasis for horses,
cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and dogs.
In horses : For treatment of large roundworms (Parascaris equorum),
mature and immature pinworms (Oxyuris equal), large strongyles
(Strongyles edentatus, strongyles vulgaris, and strongyles equinus), and
small strongyles.
In cattle : For treatment of lungworms
(Dictyocaulus vivaparus), stomach worms (barberpole worms
[Haemonchus controtus and H. placei, adult]), small stomach worms
(Trichostrongylus axei, adult), brown stomach worms
(Ostertagia ostertagi), intestinal worms, nodular worms
(Oesophagostomum radiatum, adult), hookworms
(Bunostomum phlebotomum, adult), small intestinal worms
(Cooperia punctata, C. oncophora, and C. momasteri), and tapeworms
(Moniezia benedeni, adult). The product also contains selenium and
cobalt as nutritional supplements.
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS :
Do not administer to sick or debilitated horses. Do not administer to
female dairy cattle of breeding age.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE :
For Cattle, Camel, Sheep & Goat = 5mg/kg body weight
For Horse = 10mg/kg body weight
For Pigs = 4mg/kg body weight
For Dogs = 10mg/kg body weight for 3 consecutive days
